Glad someone else can see it rather than just slag Noble off.
He was left like a fucking sitting duck against Norwich. Basically left 2 on one for most of the game.

If you're going to let Kouyate act like an attacking midfielder (which I don't think is his best role anyway) then shove Payet out wide, drop a winger and bring in Obiang along side Noble.
We're not playing two holding midfielders, we're playing one. Noble's swamped. Teams are cutting through us like a hot knife through butter.
I thought we were a shambles first half, and I think every time we've played a weaker team this season it's been the same.

Well I wouldn't want rid of any at the moment but push come to shove then Kouyate.
I'm amazed we get a Noble thread started by a retard EVERY week and nothing on Kouyate who was far worse again.

Kayoute was poorer than Noble on Saturday. Few fans trying to make him the new scapegoat after Nolan's departure.
The fact is that both Kayoute and Noble are great players and i hope they are in and around the team for years to come.

Have a look at the highlights where Sunderland kept creating and having chances and look at Kouyate.
At one point from a corner, even Sakho is defending deeper. One of the chances Sunderland started, Kouyate is a few yards behind Sakho up front.
I don't think he's decided on his own to play like Yaya Toure and wander around up front and not play defensive midfield. I think Bilic has told him to do that.
It was suicidal stuff, and I think Bilic is the one letting that happen.

Obiang is clearly the most suited to play dm for us, he understands the role better than the other 3 and I'd rather give song a bit more freedom to play.

I don't go to as many games as most on here to add opinion enough tbh.
However what I do like is the fact that we've got a squad where we're talking about our captain having to fight for his place and discussing our best midfielders we have to start.
I'm with OM here good choice of midfielders and great to have competition for places

Football is awash with players like Kouyate, he's a workhorse. Think about it, if every midfield player was a top DM or could open up defences going forward, every midfield player would be rated at 10 mil plus. He's pretty much a nothing player, I wasn't expecting much else for 4 mil, but at least he pops up with the odd goal.

I love the mix of midfielders we have. Outside the top 6 I don't think there's much better about to be honest.
They will all play a big part this season. Once we get Song back we will be looking very strong.

I am a bit confused as to what type of player Kouyate is.
He's not disciplined enough to be a DM, and he lacks the technical ability and passing to be an attacking midfielder.
It's the same dilemma we had with Diame.

I wouldn't have Noble in that role, Colly. I'd have Obiang do that. When Obiang has played, Noble has been excellent.
I'd say that, much as its gutting, with everyone fully fit, Noble probably loses out to Song in a first choice 11. But I'd start him over Kayoute, all day every day. People keep going on about our inability to keep hold of the ball, and Kayoute is easily the worst offender, with his poor technique and passing, especially at home.
You call him a handful, but in what sense? He's just a lump, and if we want to change the way we play at home, you need more than that.

I think they have different roles and are different types of players.
Kouyate is more dynamic and gets forward and is a handful, and generally puts himself about, even though he isn't that great technically.
Nobles role is to link the defence and attack, and offer protection to the defence, I don't think he does either of those to well.

I'd have Noble in ahead of Kayoute all day every day. He's getting the same over-rating at Foe got from our fans, the fact he is a 6'4 beast muddling people's judgement over the fact his passing is rubbish.

OM - The ony person trying way too hard here is yourself, son. I really don't think anyone has any idea of what you are going on about and you didn't answer my previous question to what these perceived expectations are, and the back handed compliments to Spurs are a bit cringe too to be fair.
